bio:

"Hi my name is Tiffany! I earned a Master’s degree in Counseling and Development from George Mason University and a Post-Masters in Counseling from Trinity Washington University. I am a Resident in Counseling and I am under the direct supervision of Stephanie Buchanan, LPC.

Have you noticed a recent change in your mood or behavior lately? Have your friends or family made comments about you acting different or not like yourself? Do you find yourself feeling annoyed by those closest to you? Are you experiencing some anxiety about your life and what is going to happen next? Are you feeling sad and unsure why the sadness won’t go away? If you answered yes to any of these questions, it may be time to consider talking to a therapist. Therapy can provide a safe space for you to identify and process your feelings, build your confidence, advocate for your needs, and learn effective coping skills.

My approach to therapy integrates a variety of theoretical frameworks such as Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy to name a few. I like to use a variety of interventions to help my clients achieve their goals. I believe that therapy should be a collaborative process with shared responsibility between the client and the therapist. This starts with building trust and a connection. I have experience  working with children and adolescents in the school setting providing short term support. I also have experience working with adolescents and adults in residential and private practice. I encourage you to schedule a consultation when you feel ready and I look forward to working with you."
